What is “Abraham” All About?

The bible is a book written by Jews, about Jews and for Jews.

Any person who does not have any of Abraham’s DNA only gets to have an interest in what it says because of one of three promises the bible says God made to Abraham (Jahweh, Jah, Jehova, Master of the Universe, the Ultimate Truth – whatever you wish to call the single entity referred to as God).

The bible narrative really gets underway in Genesis when Jahweh makes three promises to Abraham – land, progeny and the blessing his progeny would be to all tribes, nations and tongues. (The promise was repeated in each of the seven visitations recorded in Genesis).
