Seven Seals: please explain

Do you remember the last verse of the Scarlet Tie song?
Says the angel to the heavenly throng, assembled round the throne
Who is worthy to unseal the course of history, yet unknown
Put to flight all Satan’s hordes in Zion’s troubled hour
And reign in wisdom, might and glory,
honour, wealth and power.
The song told the story of Judah and Tamar and their son Perez, It also told the story of the prostitute Rahab and the descendant of Perez who had a son called Boaz.

Ruth and Boaz became the great-grandparents of David, who became a king of Israel. God promised him that one of his descendants would reign in Jerusalem for all eternity.
“Christians” claim that descendant who will reign in Jerusalem was Jesus. (Jews tend to differ and are still waiting for the Messiah promised to Abraham, Moses and David)
According the book of Revelation, Jesus is the son of David who is worthy to unseal the course of history, yet unknown
Put to flight all Satan’s hordes in Zion’s troubled hour
And reign in wisdom, might and glory,
honour, wealth and power.

JESUS REVEALED IN HEAVEN – REVELATION CHAPTER 4 & 5
If you reveal something (usually something secret), you make it known, divulge it, lay it open to display, exhibit it. That’s what the book of Revelation claims to do for Jesus and his short life on earth in its very first sentence...
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him (in other words, God gave to Jesus)
That seems to imply that Jesus did not know what his life was all about and had to have it explained to him by God. We get to read that explanation too.
The narrative of Revelation (the apocalyptic fireworks show culminating in the end of the world as we know it) starts with John being admitted to heaven and seeing the place in a state of great consternation. It is a vision of God surrounded by four angels (cherubim) that are nearly identical to those described in the visions experienced by two Old Testament prophets - Isaiah (chapter 6) and Ezekiel (chapter 1). That is not surprising – the book of Revelation is really just a whole lot of quotes from the Old Testament strung together in such a way as to make sense of the life and accomplishments of Jesus

Twenty-four elders of the redeemed
Enthroned around that force unseen
Around the rainbow throne aligned
Singing, “Won’t be water, but fire, next time”
There is much exultation in heaven until a sour note intrudes on the joy and majesty of God’s presence.

The Hebrew bible (Tanakh) consists of 24 books (or groups of books), which correspond to the Old Testament in the Christian bible. (The minor prophets count as one book, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles as one each and Ezra and Nehemiah being grouped together.)
So it is possible that the twenty four elders represent Moses’ Law and the Prophets – the scriptures that Jesus claimed he came to fulfil.

But there was a problem. That problem seems to be that a scroll is sealed and cannot be opened, because no one is worthy to break its seals.

The angel bore the scroll all sealed
The course of all men’s deeds revealed
The title deeds to all that lives and breathes
Proprietor: Lucifer, prince of thieves

Eye for eye and tooth for tooth
One sacrifice for all those that seek the truth
Lucifer, he missed the catch
Spirit life from death can snatch

Sword and famine, pestilence and woe
In the Dark Lord’s wake all grow
The martyr’s tears, atoning, flow
Mountains fall and kings are brought down low

Chosen ones as good as dead
The sun turned black and moon blood red
The stars no more in heaven found
The sky scrolled up, and stars come tumbling down
